 Discerning Our Core

Do you want to be part of discerning the core values that will guide our diocese into the future? In seven gatherings around the diocese on October 27, clergy and lay leaders of the diocese will work together to discern those core values. Bishop Lillibridge urges all clergy, all vestry and bishop's committee members, and congregational lay leadership to be a part of this important work. Times are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Pre-registration is very important as there are materials to be read before the meetings.  Once your online registration is received the information will be mailed to you.

"Each of us needs to obtain a measure of clarity and decide how it is we shall live as Christians.  Much has been made of mission statements over the last decade or so.  They are indeed important.  But one thing that is equally important, if not foundational in establishing a mission statement (as a diocese, parish, or even as an individual), is to figure out what core values drive your life."

Today I am asking the leadership of this diocese to join together on October 27th to begin the process of discerning our diocesan core values.
