As diverse as is the Episcopal Church, General Convention can be messy, factional, and petty, but sometimes profound and always inspirational.

It is a reminder that all Episcopalians are part of "One holy, catholic, and apostolic faith," and at its best it is a small vision of God at work in His world.

Windsor Resolution News Update:

On Wednesday, both houses of General Convention adopted the following resolution. We will post a full report with an audio response by Bishop Lillibridge early this evening.

Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring, that the 75th General Convention receive and embrace The Windsor' Report's invitation to engage in a process of healing and reconciliation; and be it further

Resolved, that this Convention therefore call upon Standing Committees and bishops with jurisdiction to exercise restraint by not consenting to the consecration of any candidate to the episcopate whose manner of life presents a challenge to the wider church and will lead to further strains on communion.
